If left unattended these mouth complications can result in periodontal or gum disease. You can keep your mouth thoroughly clean by ensuring regular oral cleanliness. Plaque forms as a sticky content in the mouth and the bacteria it carries create harmful chemicals. Some areas of the teeth are barely reached by your toothbrushes. These spots are very much susceptible to bacteria. Sweet food products are reputed as sources of plaque, but there are more other food items.

Acids could cause harm to your mouth if hygiene is not appropriately maintained. You may get these acids from food made of starch, such as loaf of bread, crackers and breakfast cereal. Gum irritation, redness and bleeding are indications of plaque and if neglected, they will translate to periodontal disease. It is advised to brush outer tooth surfaces, inner tooth surfaces and chewing tooth surfaces. Involve your tongue in brushing to improve your breath and remove bacteria. Be sure to brush your tongue as lightly as you can. Using 18 inches of floss to clean between your teeth is highly proposed by dentists. Stroke the floss between your teeth properly. 



You can make sure the cleanliness of your mouth by standard flossing in addition to brushing. Mouth wash might help fight bacteria in your whole mouth. However, you have to consult your dental professional prior using any mouth or dental products. Not all items are good for you or best for your children. Fluoride mouth rinse isn't advisable to children six years of age and below since they're more likely to swallow the wash, which is very harmful to them.
